Thailand Digital Arrival Card: New Entry Rules for Foreign Travelers

Thailand has announced its new entry rules, which came into force on May 1, 2025. Since then, foreign travelers must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) within 72 hours before entering the country. This new mandatory system was introduced to modernize the border crossing process and reduce queues at border checkpoints.
What is TDAC, and who needs it?
TDAC is an online form that travelers must fill out within 72 hours before arrival. This new method simplifies and improves border control and reduces paperwork. It replaces the TM6 paper form, but it’s not a visa. Travelers cannot enter Thailand without proof of TDAC submission.
The TDAC must be submitted by all foreign travelers entering Thailand, including:
- Tourists,
- Business travelers,
- Students,
- Visa holders,
- Travelers exempt from visa requirements.
Exceptions are:
- Thai citizens,
- Transit travelers who don’t go through immigration control,
- Travelers entering Thailand with a “Border Pass.”
The TDAC is intended to provide immigration officers with essential information about travelers to ensure security and a paperless entry process.
How to complete the TDAC
To fill out the form:
- Visit the official website and select “Arrival Card”.
- Fill in your personal information: First name, last name, date of birth, nationality, passport information, and other details.
- Give travel details: Arrival date, transport type, purpose of visit, and accommodation details.
- Complete a health declaration: List the countries you have visited within 14 days before entering Thailand to exclude any health risks.
- Enter a valid email address: Provide the address to which your TDAC will be sent as a PDF file.
- Submit your application: After successful submission, you will receive your TDAC. You can save or print it to present upon arrival. If you need to edit your application, go to the official website and select “Update Arrival Card.”
